UNIT 9 MOTIVATION

Motivation has to do with thoughts and feelings that we put in any teaching situation in order to provide our students confidence to develop all the activities easier and faster but at the end we will be collecting a really well done final work. There are several factors that help us to achieve motivation. I am going to start first with the interest in the target language culture. This factor is really important because if we are interested in the culture of any country for example, we are going to feel motivated to learn as much as possible about that country. Also with motivation we can develop in learners Confidence, and with the time students will be independent or autonomous when they have to develop any kind of Activity.
Another important fact to take into account is the encouragement and support from others. Is really necessary to provide feedback I all activities that others develop or ask for feedback about our assignments in order to improve them and correct mistakes. Sometimes coursebooks include very interesting activities to motivate student and help them with the learning process such as different warm- up activities or initial activities, and one of the most important techniques to motivate students scientifically tested are motivational videos with real situations or problems that people overcome.

MOTIVATIONAL VIDEOS

As a conclusion, something really important that I learned in this unit was that motivation is connected with the culture of the language that we are interested in. It is really important that teachers motivate students all the time to avoid possible frustrations in the learning process. I consider that I will apply all of this knowledge with mi students to avoid unmotivated students in my class because if they are not interested in my subject, they will get bad grades and the most important thing here is they can start to hate the subject and this situation can cause a lot of problems in a near future.
